I bought a lot office supplies worth over $1000 in December 2007 to
start my new business which opened in January 18, 2008. I have a GST #
but the invoice is dated in December. Any way possible I can change
the date on the invoice so I can submit it to GST?

Thanks, Lynne

Canadian taxes?

You should not make any changes to recorded taxes. On the other hand, why
can't you submit these expenses for your 2007 taxes? Do you have to have an
operational business before you start recording expenses and assets?

Yes I am Canadian.

I did not have an operational business in 2007. I opened my business
as of January 18, 2008. But I bought office supplies, equipment, and
office furniture in 2007.

Question is how do I enter them as Assets?

Thanks, Lynne
