Responsibilities
Technical skills:
"XPreparing accurate analyses and journal entries relating to the
direct channel, including catalog costs, operating expenses, sales
returns reserves, etc.
"XPreparing and analyzing balance sheet and P&L accounts for the
Direct channel. This includes sales, cost of sales, prepaid expenses,
inventory, credit card receivables, current liabilities and deferred
credits.
"XWriting quarterly balance sheet analytics that explain material
fluctuations over the past 2 reporting periods.
"XParticipating in new system implementation projects.
"XTaking on ad hoc financial reporting and special projects.
Interpersonal skills:
"XAbility to communicate with various internal groups; position will
interact with various groups outside of the Accounting team, such as a
Finance team in Lynchburg, VA, the Marketing Department, Financial
Planning and Analysis, and Accounts Payable.
"XGreat attention to detail
"XExcellent work ethic and willingness to learn and advance
"XAbility to work in fast paced, growth-focused environment
"XAbility to prioritize and take ownership of work with little or no
supervision
