We have a document management system at my company and I want to use
coding software to scrape the information off of our invoices and do
error checking and exception processing for our accountants.

I don't beleive that this system will be a substitue for human eyes,
since a human understanding of computers will always be better than a
computer, but instead serve to augment their eyes and make them more
efficient.

Would someone please referance the extant literature about using
software like this to automate accounting? Or maybe a business case
where someone has done this?

TY
