Change default data directory in Peachtree 2008?

Want to move all my company data to a single location. How can I
configure Peachtree Complete Accounting 2008 to point to a different
location to look for company data when it opens up?

You can change the location of the Company folder but you must move that
folder plus all of the sub-folders to the new location.

Look in your c:windows folder for the pcw150.ini file and change the
DATAPATH statement to point to the new location of the "COMPANY" folder:

; The DATAPATH is where the errorlog, the help file, the form files, and the
; OPTIONS.DAT file are found. In addition, each set of "Company Data" is
; located in its own subdirectory off of this DATAPATH. The default
value
; is "C:PROGRA~1PEACHT~1".

Depending on your individual setup, with V2007 and V2008, changing the .ini
file might work however, if you get error messages after changing the .ini
file, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the program with the
corrected data path.
