Error : cannot open GENERAL.dat

I am encountering a when printing a Bill of Lading through Peachtree.
The exact error is " Cannot open file C:Documents and Settings%user%
save sets%printer%GENERAL.DAT . Select HELP for more information"

By pressing OK, the document is able to print fine, however I cannot
save any of the current work. I must exit the program and restart it.

Version: Peachtree 2006

running on XP Pro machine; databases are stored on a server (2003
server)

You can try having the file repaired at www.nssdd.com. This is at the
Pervasive Btrieve database level if there is a corruption in the file.
