Peachtree Complete Accounting 2006 peachw.exe still running when program closed

Hola!

We've been running Peachtree Complete Accounting 2006 since it came
out, and we recently did the service release 3 update. Now when we
close peachtree, it leaves the peachw.exe process still running in task
manager. If you open peachtree again, it opens another copy of
peachw.exe and leaves it running on close. So if you open peachtree and
close it 30 times, it leaves 30 copies of peachw.exe running. Needless
to say this affects performance considerably. Any ideas? Uninstall the
last update?

Check to see if you have NET.Framework Service Pack 1.1 SP1, if not
download it. Then download NET.Framework update KB886903. You may still
have to do an uninstall/reinstall, but try the NET downloads first.

Note: If you do have to uninstall/reinstall Peachtree, you will also
have to reinstall the SRC3 and curret Tax Updates.
