Reports from closed year

Greetings all,
I searched prior postings and think I have an answer to my problem:
When I closed 2005 and it asked if I wanted to print reports, I said
'yes' thinking it would print all financial reports, not just GL. Now I
need a Balance Sheet and Income Statement for 2005 and am stuck. At
least I know now from earlier posts that there isn't a direct way to do
it. I do have backup's so it sounds like I have to create a dummy
company and restore to it from my last pre-close. Sound right?

Dave if you archived the company you can easily get those. If not ( and I
always do this ) create the dummy and restore from your backup. Watch the
"restore to" settings..... I always name my dummy by year.... ie...
2005ye.... and have these "company" folders back to 1994 our first year on
Peachtree.

Thanks, DD - Restoring to dummy co. worked like a charm! TGFB! (Thank
God For Back-ups!)
I'll follow your example and do it each year. I'll also look into
archiving - hadn't considered that.
