A server error when printing to journal Steakum 02-18-2006

Hello,

I'm unable to print to the journal during a transaction. Keeps saying there
is a server error, but everything checks out ok. This for imaging receipts so
there is a copy of all the receipts for the day. Not sure if there is a
setting I'm missing. The regular receipts print out fine out of the printer.
Hopefully I don't have to reinstall.

Are you on MS POS or RMS?

I had this issue with a MS POS install and it turned out to be the version
of Epson OPOS software were using.

This is MS POS - I'm adding the receipt printer and the printer - journal
only to the system.

I'll see if I can upgrade the EPSON OPOS Software, but I'm not sure if that
would mean a reinstall.

The exact error message is "A server error when printing to journal" - this
is for any receipt including no sale.

If you have a Star printer, DO NOT put the Epson drivers on it!

You must be using Outlook Express or some other type of newsgroup reader to
see and download the file attachment. If you are not using a reader, follow
the link below to setup Outlook Express. Click on "Open with newsreader"
under the MS Retail Management System on the right.

Does this happen while trying to view a receipt?

If so, make sure you have a printer other than a label printer set as your
default printer.

If neither, what is the exact error message say?
