I'm trying to figure out if RMS can support the following.

You create a workorder for two items, total order value is $100.00. The
price of each item (non taxable items) is $50.00.
You take a deposit of $80.00.
Later, customer comes to pick up just one of the items and wants to apply
the $80.00 deposit towards the partial pickup of the item worth $50.00.
When I run the "pick up partial workorder" on F12 tender, and select the
item to be picked up, the workorder asks for the balance of the workorder.

Why won't it just apply 50 dollars from the 80 dollars deposit towards the
pickup of the single item, allow me to finish the partial pickup without
asking for any more monies, and leave 30 dollars remaining on the deposit
towards the second item?

Pulling my hair out on this one - thanks.

I believe it would have worked as you'd hoped if it had been a Layaway,
rather than a Work Order.

Yes, you're right - it works just fine on a layaway - but if you're already
using the layaway function to track true layaways, your SOL. - Another thing
to add to that growing wish list for version 3.... -thanks for your post.
