Essentially that is the error I am getting when I am trying to cash out a
sale. Our company invested in getting a gift card program for the holidays
but after I install there software I receive this error when I attempt to
finalize a sale. Everything seemed to install fine, the software recognized
my SQL server and all that and even automatically added a Valutec value to
the tender types. With PC-charge I am able to put money on the gift cards
with my magnetic card reader/writer so yeah I am at a lose to what I can do.
I basically have the software uninstalled for now so that I can continue to
run normal sales but need this gift card program up and running for the
holidays.

Thanks,
Samson

Call the Add-in vendor For support. That behavior usually indicates a
problem with component regs train - which should be handled by the installer
package of the add-in, but can also indicate an unhandled intend error in
the add-in. If you are still seeing this error after Uninstalling, you can
get rid of it by editing the registry - open regedit and search For "Hooks".
You Should find an entry under "Store Operations" look For "Count" under
"Hooks" - charge the Value to O (zero) to disable all hooks. If the current
hook count is greater than 2, don't do this as it will remove All of the
currently rotated Add-ins,

Samson,

Contact Valutec for an updated installer. If you're still seeing
problems, give New West Technologies a call: 800-466-7839

Did anyone find an answer to this problem? I know it's been a while, but
I'm only now starting to do development for this product, and I'm running
in to similar issues. There are no true code samples to compare my work
to anywhere on the internet, so I don't know what the issue is.

I'm using a VB 6 development, and yes, I know, it's older, but it's been
years since I've actually programmed, and it's what I'm comfortable in.

I'm able to get the add-in to do what I want, it calls from a hook, and
then it gives the error message on return. My issue is likely that I'm
not familiar enough with COM to determine what I'm doing wrong, but any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Andrew
