Block a credit card number? Adrian 02-18-2009

I know this is a long shot but I was wondering if there is anyway to block a
specific credit card number. There is an individual who frequents our
establishment on busy days and walks away with the signed copy of his
receipt. About a month later we get the challenge and inevitably loose
because we have no signed copy. He uses the same card every time, so I was
hoping to block just that card. We are using PC Charge to process the
charges. Thanks in advance!

the card number is invisible to RMS since sp2 stopped recording all but the
last 4 digits. PCCharge keeps the number encrypted in it's database but
doesn't have a setting to deny a particular account. Your bank may have a
feature to accomplish this, or you may have to take retribution against this
theif and start advertising his card# somewhere.

You might want to check if PC Charge has a way of doing this. Call Verifone
if its not obvious from the various menus. They might know a way to handle
this. We also have been having this issue with a few of our customers. I now
make sure we get back a signed receipt for each CC transaction. But it is a
pain. Please post back if you find a solution.
