I was wonder if I could hookup a Zebra printer to print receipts in our
service department.

Was hoping to print on a 4W x 5L label for receipt claim tag

This wasywe could use the label to tag the work in the service department
and get rid of our old manul paper tags.

Any suggestions

I would not recommend it, but yes you can. We are using RMS with Zebra TLP
3844-Z printers as our thermal receipt printers. I belive there is little
difference between these models and the 2844s... Anyway, we have to tweak
the drivers just to get a decent printout for receipts, Z, and X reports. I
would be happy to chare our dirver settings if you want to try it. There are
some minor problems. Zebra printer are not designed to think like a reciept
printer. The main issue we have found is that you cannot force the Zebra
cutter to cut in the middle of a credit card reciept. At least I have not
found a way... They have to tear or cut them for the customer.

Thanks for the reply Ryan.

I figured it out. I just wanted the Zebra printer to print a Claim tag in
our service department.

I got it to work.
