I have some scale from Shanghai TM30A, they are very limited in programing
aspects.
These scale has only EAN13 Barcode like this
FWWWWWWEEEEEC
F- department
W- item number
E- Money
C- Control bit
Cash Registe Express accept UPC barcode with 12 digits
example
212345004550
My scale print EAN13 with 13 digits
2123450045507
And this code dosn't accepted by Cash Registe Express
Please advice me how to configure Cash Registe Express in order to accept EAN13
barcode
Best regards

Problem solved.
First, the scale was printing UPC barcode not EAN. So I had to check the
Utilize UPC option instead of the EAN in RMS Manager.
Second, the item lookupcode had to be 2XXXXX00000, where X is the lookupcode
from the scales database.
Thank you for your responses.

EAN 13 Emergency
Ok I have scales that are setup to print EAN13 barcodes with the weight.
Example
Item: Turkey
Scale PLU: 43
Weight: .445 pounds
When we print the label it looks like this: 200043 904451
In RMS I have the EAN randon option checked in Manager.
The itemlookupcode for Turkey in RMS is set to: 200043000000
When I scan the barcode in RMS it wont pull up the item......what am I
missing??
Im onsite, prompt response is appreicated.

Never tried adding a space in the RMS item lookup code.... give this a shot.
Hope this helps....

you have to many 0 in the string.
you have to many 0 in the string. it does not matter if the barcode is UPCA or
EAN you only enter 20004300000

Fundementaly the label from the macxhine is incorrectly formatted from weight
Fundementaly the label from the macxhine is incorrectly formatted from
weight embedded to price embedded. So the format is
02 or 20 for the two starting digit that idntifies this as a weight item
IIIII next 5 digits are the SKU code on the scale
PPP characters for the price
DD price decimal
C for check digit
So the code in RMS should be 2000043000000 - and if the totalprice came
to 12.55 then the scale shoud print a label that says 2000043012550

You've got the wrong group. This group is for MSRMS and MSPOS only.
