Is there a method of changing the customer or salesperson linked to a
transaction that has already been completed? We sometimes process a
transaction with the wrong customer or salesperson and need to change it
after the customer has left, once we realize the mistake.

The simplest method, by far, would be to void and re-enter the sale. If you
are concerned about CC processing on the second transaction, void and refund
to cash then re-enter the sale as cash.

Using a query to update the transactionentry and/or orderentry table(s) is
possible but could be tricky.

I am aware the the transaction can be voided and re-rung, but there must be
(or should be) an easier method of doing this. RMS should have something
built into it to enable the user to change the salesperson or customer after
a transaction has posted.

I disagree that such a feature should exist, but if you want to see it,
enter a suggestion on Customer Source - http://mbs.microsoft.com - find
the link for "global suggestions"
