Client to HQ connection via VPN

Posted by sammm on July 4, 2009, 4:53 am Please log in for more thread options I successfully connected VPN from my laptop which has HQ to my store which has HQ client. The client to HQ connection gets connected. But after about 8 minutes, client cannot connect to HQ anymore. VPN is fine - the continuous ping shows the VPN connectin alive. Somehow, after 8 minutes, client cannot remember the server name specified. So I turn off the Windows firewall on my laptop and client connects again to HQ. I turn back on the firewall and the client can connect to HQ for the next 8 minutes. So somewhere, the configuration is changing automatically after 8 minutes. I don't think it is the router/VPN. Is it the Windows firewall? Or is it the client?
