I have a second database called 'mattress' that serves one purpose: printing
price tags for what should be Assemblies. Since you cannot print a price tag
for an Assembly, this DB is simply a collection of Standard Items that have
the same Item Lookup Code as the mattress set Assembly Items in my 'real' DB.
Every once in a while, I go into the mattress DB and print a few price tags.

Once upon a time, my dongle was on my server. This didn't work well on days
that I wasn't here, because more often than not POS wouldn't get started on
the server before the registers were fired up. Hello, Evaluation Mode.

To solve that problem, I moved my dongle to Register 1. Great. Except now
when I try to enter the mattress DB, I get a software violation. My eval
period has expired so I cannot get into mattress except from Admin. Manager
won't let me in--software violation.

Do I have to go to Register 1, exit POS, re-configure RMS Admin for
DB=mattress and start POS again in order to access the mattress DB?

Note to MS: this whole problem would disappear if I could print price tags
for Assemblies--or if the antiquated dongle were done away with.

TT,

or move the dongle back and forth.

Pretty sure that the dongle will be going away with the 2.0 version,
whenever it ships. MS POS is the replacement for QuickSell and it does not
use a dongle.
