Duplicate items on Transfers RMS 11-12-2008

Got a client having 30 stores running on RMS2.0. On some inter store
transfers duplicate items appear at receiving store as well as on HQ. For
e.g., Item X is transferred (Transfer Out) from Store A to Store B. After
store B communicates with HQ, Transfer In for B at HQ and on store the item
list on the transfer will be X, Y, Z. Duplicate item occurs randomly. It does
not occur for all transfers or does not seem to duplicate for particular
stores. Also there is no pattern for duplicate items. That is, the same set
of items is not duplicating. On some transfers the duplicate item count will
be 20 and on some other transfers it would be 150.

In one of the older postings on this forum, it was mentioned that such
issues will occur if more than one HQ client runs from a store. On checking
it was confirmed that only one HQ client runs on each store.

On running SQL profiler, it seems that the duplicates occur when the
receiving store communicates to HQ through 401 worksheet. On further checking
it seems that duplicate occur for transfers when 401 worksheet was created by
the user manually rather than automatically created 401.

Please advice whether we have to follow any other steps to resolve this issue.

Is there a possibility that you have more than one person accessing transfer
records at the same time?
I believe it is possible to get duplicate items by having same transfer
detail records displayed on two different pc's, then saving the records from
each with some changes.
