There are more problems than that you will run into.
If the state your business is in combines the Foodstamp portion and the cash
portion on one card you are going to have a massive headache.
RMS tedner sees the foodstamp tender as the old paper style not the new
debit style. so if your using something like PCCharge or the direct method
you have to configure the tender type as other but the prompts on the debit
device may not work depending on what you are using.
TPI setup EBT to work in there software but it configures itself in the
hooks as a foodstamp tender and all items you sell have to be configured as
able to accept food stamps even traditional non food stamp type items for
the cash side of the EBT card.
All the clients I work with that want to be able to do this I tell them to
get the terminal from the state and use it and configure the tender as
other. Theres a couple advantages to this in my state they dont charge any
service fees, swipe fees etc and they also provide the seperate terminal for
free I belive depending on the size of the store depends on how many they
will provide.
