Epson D110 poledisplay is slowing down RMS Login sammm 09-16-2008

My RMS 2.0 takes 30-60 seconds for the login screen to come up. I figured
it's an OPOS problem as it tries to load different peripherals. After testing
each equipment, it turned out that Epson D110 pole display is the bottle
neck. Since I have Epson TMIII printer, the OPOS driver and ADK are up to
date. D110 is a serial connection. Is there a solution other than buying a
new D110 with USB connection?
