I am running RMS on a Gateway desktop with Windows XP. I need a Epson
printer. I purchased a Casio and it did not work. Microsoft recommended the
Epson TM-H5000. Has anyone worked with this printer who did not buy RMS
bundle. My cash drawer is a Casio DL-3401.
I would appreciate any advise .

We just got a star printer which i really like. it is a tsp100.
You should really check it out. We are using some other star's and some
epsons but this one is by far the best. Configuring it was a snap compared to
most.

I've been looking at the Star tsp100. When I need a new printer this will be
the one I go with. It comes with some really cool software to print coupons
at the end of the receipt by using keywords. I've been using the Epsons with
OPOS drivers for years without any problems, but would like to be able to
have the ability to configure receipts using the stars windows drivers and
with this new software it's icing on the cake.

Did you have problems with your cash drawers? What brand do you have?

The Epson TM-H5000 has been around for a long time, I installed some over 7
years ago., not with RMS, another POS software package, Keystroke. Never had
any problems. The only time I ever used the TM-H5000 or TM-H600 (a better
printer, in my opinion) was when I have required either documentation
validation or check franking (validation). I think the Epson TM-T88IV is the
best printer for the money if you do not require validation. We probably
have 500 of the TM-T88III or the TM-T88IV installed and rarely have service
issues.
