 Is there any way to change the fields in the item lookup screen. Say instead
of item type, adding extended description or category. THX

 Unfortunately not, but Digital Retail Solutions has a SWAT Search Tool which
if I am not mistaken has this ability.

As Rob mentioned our SWAT Search add-in does this in POS and includes many
other features for locating and selling items quickly.
