I'm currently running Store Ops in three seperate retail locations and
seriously considering purchasing Headquarters to link them all together.
Before I do so, I want to make sure it will enable me to do a couple of
things that would make it worth our while. The first thing is in regards to
vouchers. My question is: does HQ keep the voucher information in one
database? In other words, can a voucher that was purchased in one location
be redeemed in another? The second thing is in regards to inventory levels.
My question is: does HQ allow each store to see inventory levels in other
stores? or is it just that the HQ can see the stores? In other words, can
sales people in one location see what another location has in stock of a
certain item from the store level?

Krista,

RMS does not allow for inter-store use of Vouchers. It really a pain.
There may be someone that has an add-on to allow it. Usually its easier to
use a voucher/gift card processor like Givex. www.gives.com

After setting it up, each machine in each store can see the other stores
inventory. They cannot sell it though. They can transfer it to/from the
other stores.

Krista,

I am with GNS Partners, a Microsoft RMS certified partner. We have developed
a global gift card solution which works with HeadQuarters to allow customers
to use their gift cards at multiple store locations. It is completely
software-based, so there are no on-going per-use fees. If you would like more
information, you can contact me at scates@gnspartners.com.
