Has anyone used Heartland to process their credit cards in RMS 2.0?  If so
can you give me the good, the bad and the ugly?
thanks

We don't care for Heartland, working with them has never been a smooth
process.  Support for integrations is non existent, false statements
about their gateway technology to clients.  I would look else where.

Sammy,

We have a couple of clients still using them.

The biggest issue is that ~2 years ago they were hacked and compromised =
millions of credit card numbers as well as paying a hefty fine to =
Visa/MasterCard.

They are still being sued by some of their customers.

They have supposedly fixed their issues and _should_ be the safest =
company around, as long as they continue to improve their security.

Sammy,

Here are some other options and how you can use them with RMS. One thing =
to note I will NEVER promote PCCharge or ICVerify, They do not work as =
needed and allow for to many mistakes to customers like double charging.

I highly reccomend TPI/Hypercom smart client software cost is about $300 =
without support and $400 with one year of support. It comes with 30 days =
of support when you purchase the product without support. I have found =
that is about all you really need with this product as afterwards its =
been really stable. Using this software increases which sig capture =
device you use as well as pinpads.=20

OK,

Processors that you could use

Mercury:  They will work with the built in setup in RMS or with =
TPI/Hypercom Software.=20

Elavon(Nova):  You will need TPI/Hpercom=20

FDS: if you have I believe SP3 for RMS you can use the online processing =
from MSFT for FDS otherwise nothing I would Promote.

Vital/Tsys/Visanet: direct throgh the RMS setup(Wells Fargo, Bank of =
America, Columbia Bank uses this)

some things to note, If you use the direct method in RMS you must settle =
your batch on youor own. If you use the TPI/Hypercom software you are =
operating on a host based system and the card data is stored at your =
processor and they well settle for you nightly at about 1-2AM for you.
