I am wanting to create several custom POS buttons which will execute commands
such as printing a reciept, executing a macro, or simply pulling up the
tender screen. Can this be done? How could i execute a macro though one of
these buttons?

Look here:
http://homepage.mac.com/tomncora/FileSharing10.html

Click on the 'AltKeys' directory.

You'll want the Readme.doc and Testdll.dll files to start with.

You can trigger macros with custom buttons with this add-on.

Reply to this thread if you have questions

I just wanted to thank Tom for supplying this code. He made it available
about a year ago and I have used it for custom buttons ever since. Very easy
to implement and does exactly what you are describing.
