Is anyone successfully using the IVideo bolt-on product from Ideal Computer
Solutions Inc, in Cincinnati? We have recently implemented it and after an
upgraded version, we are running okay. Still doesn't report very well or
'work as we do'. It certainly doesn't use the database cleanly. Looking to
share experiences with other users, OR users of other video rental solutions.

We have 9 stores, 5 of them rental stores with IVideo and have had absolutly
nothing but problems with them. Late movies would not enter in the computer
and when they did, the charges were never actually attached to the customers
account. The reporting was horrible, you could not view any reports at the
HQ. We actually just uninstalled all of our IVideo's and are now using a more
simple solution.. People buy the videos keep them as long as they want then
bring them back for a $15 credit.
And when the reselller could not figure out how to fix it after months of
trying their hardest they gave me IVideo's phone number and said I could
contact them directly..They said sure they could take a look at the problem..
but they would charge me $90 an hour.

I 100% do not recommend this to anyone else.

Ideal has over 100 locations using IVideo Rental Module for RMS. Most sales
come from local RMS resellers whom receive a hefty discount in exchange for
installing and supporting the IVideo product. The product has many good
references but alas not all resellers setup nor support the product properly.
They do however receive free support from Ideal if necessary. If someone no
longer wants support from the original reseller than support from Ideal is
available at our regular rates. For best results one has the option of
purchasing IVideo directly from Ideal. IVideo was not in any means intended
as anything more than a single store rental solution.

"Yuma" should go back to whom sold them the product to correct what sounds
like improper installation setup.

Should anyone be interested we can provide a extensive list of IVideo Rental
references... rburnett@icspos.com
