We will be converting to RMS soon. Is there anyway we can import our old
sales history(Monthly) into RMS 2.0?

Hi newbie.
I am not aware of a free utility that will import all data, including sales
transaction history to your RMS system. Retail Realm has an Import Tool that
will do this if your current system is Microsoft Point of Sale, possibly POS
2009, but it is licensed (meaning you need to pay for it).
Otherwise, I believe you are limited to importing items, customers,
suppliers, and UPCs as Aliases, no history.

Depends,
Depends on what your current POS is.
We do imports and exports of data from various Databases from different
POS's. Some off the wall POS system have a extremely messy table structure
and takes quite some time to move over the sales data, but as mentioned in
an earlier post its not free. You need to wiegh out the value of the data
over the cost of the transfer.

It may be worth getting one of the Import tools anyway, since you can use it
always to import Items from Mfr lists, POs, Customer DBs from Demographics
companies, etc. We have several available at different prices and functions.
Many Mfrs can supply POs for new items in a CSV or other file, how would you
like to be able to simply import all of those items along with the amount you
would like to order?
