Has anybody installed the two hotfix components yet? and if so, did
everything go smooth? Running 2.0 since April 2 with no real
issues.........is it worth it?

I installed the hotfix yesterday on 6 machines. It was quick and easily done
before we opened in the morning. I installed because we needed the 'add'
button on PO fix. You have to call MS to get it, but once I got past the
initial hold time, things were pleasant and fast. Their follow-up has been
extensive too!

Thank you for your response. Can I call in advance and schedule the download
or is it a start to finish process, (phone call to download to install)? I
need the fix that retains the order I put the items in on the PO. I am new
to Microsoft RMS and am still taking small steps. Through the first quarter
of this year, I used a POS product called EZ-miner and found many reasons
that a switch to a new product was needed. After an exhaustive search, I
found myself leaning towards RMS. I have been "live" with RMS since April 2,
and so far so good. I just want to make sure that any revisions, updates or
hotfixes go smooth. does the hotfix have to be applied to backoffice
machines?

Once you call MS, they will email you a link and password for the hotfix
file. Then you can install it when it is convenient for you.
