Sorry...not clear what you are asking for here...are you trying to
change the character limit for the ILC field or something else? It
looks as though both the ILC as well as Alias lookup fields are
limited to 25 characters. Most barcode formats commonly used in the
US are less than 20 characters...what format are you using?

acvm,
You can change the database structure to allow for longer ILC. RMS will
even allow you to fill in a longer ILC once the database has been modified.
Please be warned that there are unexpected side effects, mainly in the POS.
And also be warned the Microsoft will not support changing of the structure
of the database.

Ryan,

Thanks. You are correct. My point / problem is the following: I am a small
new re-seller / details sales. The services through the authorized dealer
(in Puerto Rico) is very expensive. If you could help me thus be guiding me /
providing me document, guides or place (site), i believe that i can make the
changes. Were able you to help me in that sense?

Thanks in advance.

My apologies, but the scope of this is beyond my ability to help with over
the forums. But I can offer you a big pointer. Download and install SQL
Server Management Studio Express, which is a free download from Microsoft
and works with SQL 2000 and SQL 2005. Using this tool you can easily modify
the schema of a database. If you need more help, the Microsoft Books Online
are really good regarding SQL here is a link: Transact-SQL Overview.
