How can I attach a sound to "Item Not Found" pop up screen. I am a busy
grocery store and the cashiers sometimes are not even looking at the screen
and trying to scan the items as fast as they can. When "Item not found"
pops up, sometimes cashiers don't see until later and then they have to go
and try to figure out which item did not scan and rescan everything again.
It would be very nice to attach a sound to that screen so the cashier would
here right away that an item did not scan. Any suggestions?

Hayk,

Turn up your speakers, as the Item not Found screen uses the Windows =
Default Beep sound.

To change the sound, Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices | Sound =
tab | select Default Beep | to change the sound, select browse select a =
sound and push the arrow button to hear it.

Remember that this will change the sound for _every_ Windows default =
beep.

Hi Hayk...if you're running XP (full version, not the embedded XP) I
understand you can edit sounds based on "event"... go to start - control
panel - sounds and audio devices - sounds tab - on the bottom of that window
you'll see the different events; you'll have to play with different
settings/sounds as I'm not sure what program event an "item not found" falls
under....hope this helps.
