For example with a liquor environment, if all the bottle sizes are in one of
the sub descriptions or even the extended. How would you find a specific
bottle by description and one of the SUB or EXTENDED descriptions? Is there
a way to add the SUB/EXT to the results box? Any info is greatly
appreciated.

The only way you will be able to get around this is if there is somebody
that has an add-on with advanced item search functionality.

I agree that all check boxes that are selected in the Find window should
also add those as columns in the search results.

The easiest way we found of resolving this is to include size in items
description.
Example "Jack Daniel's 750" or "Jack Daniel's 1750"
We also renamed one of Sub description fields to size this way we can print
a separate field on labels and shelf tags.
Since the Description filed is limited to 30 characters this somewhat limits
your ability to include all information from long names, but it help when
searching/browsing for items as you can see all, and do not have to open
each individual item to find one you are looking for.
I do not know of a way to include more fields on the items windo, if that
was possib le that could resolve this issue as we..

keep in mind 30 characters is limit for almost every pos. because the
limitations of the receipt printers which are 3'1/8 for thermal receipt
printers.
the 30 character limit will probably never change. you should be able to
abbreviate any item into 30 characters including the size. actually that
would be your only option. why don’t pick up a receipt from walmart or any
other big grocery/retail store and see how they abbreviate .
