Our bar code scanner stopped working In MS POS today. The scanner works in
the rest of windows - just not in POS. so it must have something to do with
the OPOS. The MS POS Registers settings are always unavailable in MS POS, so
I can't think of a way to fix this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what type of a scanner is it. if it usb or ps/2 then you should not have to
use opos drivers. if you re using a serial scanner (rs232) then yes.

It is a USB scanner. ...and it is still not working. Is there not a way to
have MS POS 're-look' for hardware, bucause it's lost my scanner.

I appreciate your response.

unplugg the scanner restart pc.
shutdown pc.
plug the scanner in start pc.
go to pos-manager under setting-registers do not select any scanners
you should only have the printers and pole displays if you have any.

make sure the scanner works properly before you do this
