MSPOS 2009 Voucher Gotha's

Looks like there is no way you can re-sell a gift card in MSPOS 2009. This
is a major drawback for customers that buy private gift cards to use without
an authorization service. In RMS you got a warning when you resold one but
it let you reissue to another customer.

Not sure what settings you have for you voucher Payment but when I went on my
test machine and issued a gift card I was able to use the same card number
and the "Add to..." button to add $50.00 more to an existing gift card.

Settings I have for GC's:
1. Format: Voucher
2. Prevent overtendering: checked
3. Allow multiple entries for single transaction: checked
4. This voucher can be sold: checked
5. This voucher can be returned: checked
6. Print a separate balance receipt: checked

Yes I was able to add to the balance. But can you re-issue or re-sell to a
new customer?

Logically if you attach a Voucher to a customer I wouldn't think you would
want to resell to another customer because then that same voucher number
would be attached to both customers and would screw up historical voucher
details.

But I just tested with the voucher NOT attached to a customer and I was able
to redeem the entire gift card then re-issue more onto the card.

POS 2009 does not behave exactly the same as RMS when referring to re-issuing
vouchers. You cannot make the gift card available to be added to another
transaction. But, as Robert suggests, you can add to an existing voucher,
which is a bit of a different workflow. Also, note that the reporting will
all be under the original voucher. This may cause issues if you attach
vouchers to specific customers as Robert notes.

I have added this functionality to our suggestion database.
