I hope I'm just missing something simple here...

Is there a way for me to make an item inactive in my HQ DB and somehow
transmit this change to the stores?

I would REALLY prefer not to do this manually at every store.

Through HQ Manager ... make sure you are in Maintenance Mode and then go to
database, items, find the items and options. Make item inactive. The next
time a WS 401 is run the changes will be reflected in the Stores database(s).

Once you make the item(s) inactive, they are no longer available to be added
to a WS250.
