One of my customers is a pharmacy/drug store in a small town. I have
implemented an RMS upgrade from QuickSell - setup is 2 registers and 1
back-end pc. The manager had in place 2 cash drawers for each register ( 4
total ) - however QuickSell did not support them. The requirements of the
setup are to allow 2 different cashiers on a register (they don't check out
customers at the same time) and to have accountability for each cashier by
being assigned a drawer. I have the drawers added as OPOS devices and are
functioning properly. The manager assigns cashiers a drawer number in the
Manager application from the back office pc before each shift.
The problem we are having is that both trays are being opened in the same
batch. So when one cashier performs a blind close out on their drawer, the
batch is closed having all transactions for both drawers. A new batch is
then created containing all transactions for the remaining drawer.
Essentiality we need drawers to have their own batches. - Is this even
possible?

Thanks,

Sorry Ben but this is not possible, nor do I know of any RMS Partner that has
a addon to solve your dilema.
The only thing I can think of is not to do a closeout until the last cashier
leaves and then run a Tender Sales Report by Register and Cashier.
