We have released a very useful application that I feel anyone could
benefit from. With version 1.3 the credit cards are all masked, there
is no way around this. They are also deleted from the batch table after
the settlement so they cannot be retrieved at a future time. Before
version 1.2 if there was a problem settling the batch you could just
change the status in the visanetauthorization table and re-batch, this
is not possible with version 1.3. If this ever happens with the new
version you have to call the bank and they hopefully have the credit
card number, you then have to re-ring in a transaction in order to
process the card again,

After seeing the pains and lost money due to this new "feature" in 1.3
we have developed an application called "Card Vault". "Card Vault" is
an add-on to RMS which captures the credit card and expiration numbers
from a credit card transaction and stores them into a new table. The
card numbers are encrypted when stored and can only be read using "Card
Vault". Once the number is stored is can be recalled and displayed or
it can be pushed back into the current batch to be reprocessed on the
next settlement. No more lost money, no more hassle trying to recover
credit card numbers.

If you are interested in this application contact your Microsoft
partner. If you are a partner, shoot us an email for more information:
