We have Obvious ORP-800 Printers, They use the TM-T88III Drivers. They are
configured to use the OPOS driver and are set up as TM-T88III printers. The
printers print fine. The Cash Drawers we are trying to use are APG model
M320-CW2022. I have purchase a receipt printer/cash drawer cable model
APG-CD005A and connected it from the Obvious Printer to the APG cash Drawer.
The drawer will pop at the end of a transaction and when I press F8.
However, after a couple of pops via F8 or 3 or 4 transactions the drawer
will stop popping and the only way to get the drawer working again is to
close RMS and reopen it. I can pop the drawer via the OPOS driver over and
over without a problem. Do you guys have any ideas what the problem could
be? Is there something I need to do in RMS to keep the cash drawer working?
is there something I need to do in the Opos Driver?

We are replacing Star 300 printers with the thermal printers and the Store
Manager is talking about going back to those printers instead of using the
new ones, So any healp is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Butch

Butch,

You didn't say what version of Epson OPOS you are using but you could try
this:
In Epson OPOS in the left panel, device list, open the plus next to Cash
Drawer, right click the cash drawer and choose device specific settings.
Change Open Status Phase to High.
