When the POS register goes in offline modes and they ring up sales in offline
mode, than the register goes back online and syncs the data back to the
server. The cashier goes to Z out the register and the Z report totals sales
does not match. The detail sales report does show the correct sale totals,
but when the computer goes into offline mode, it always screws up the Z
report totals. Is there a reason way the Z report is always wrong when
computer goes into offline mode?

Thanks for your help

When the register goes off line, the original batch gets blind closed.

When the register comes back on line, its sales are uploaded into a new
batch.

Your z-report does not match daily sales because there are multiple
batches for that day. Go into SO Manager and look at Journal menu. You
can view batches from here, and you should be able to find the ones that
are blind closed pretty easily. select a blind closed batch, then you
can update the batch information by entering opening & closing totals
and running X & Z reports. This is all from Manager - POS just works on
the current batch...

This is not an exact description of what happens - consult the on line
help for the full story...
