Matt, Dude!
On Epson's TM series the connection jack is a module that can be replaced in
about 2 seconds! They make a serial, parallel and USB module. They are $45 to
$60, which is a lot cheaper than pulling your hair out!
PS, I use USB for EVERYTHING and it makes things sooooo easy to set up!
