Hello,
Could any Microsoft Dynamics partner contact me to advise regarding POS
2009? I was ready to go ahead with RMS until learning about this imminent
update.

Regards,

Sarah

You didn't provide your e-mail address or phone number so we have to contact
you here in the forum.

Which of your thousands of questions can I help you with?  If you have the
time to let me know about your business, your POS requirements and how you
expect a new system to help manage your business I would be glad to help you
analyze which Microsoft program best fits your situation.

Hello

I am a small retail clothing business with one lane. Here are my questions :

1) Will the hardware that I use (cash drawer, scanner, etc) for RMS 2.0 be
compatible with POS2009 ?
2) How much does it cost to upgrade from RMS 2.0 to POS2009 ?
3) Is there a hardware list that POS2009 is compatible with so I can
purchase new hardware ?
4) Is POS2009 compatible with Quickbooks Premier 2009 ?
5) When will POS2009 be available for purchase ?

Regards,

Sarah

Sarah:

1. Hardware requirements for POS2009 *should* be the same as for RMS 2.0,
everything should work the same way.

2. There is no cost to upgrade to POS2009 if you are on Maintenance for RMS
2.0. Your partner may charge you for time to make the conversion.

3. POS2009 hardware list.  Um, I don't know if this has been released yet.
If it's like RMS 2.0 nearly any decent POS hardware will work.

4. RMS has always interfaced with QB; I imagine that this will main true for
POS2009.  Cannot say for certain how well this will work until the program is
actually released.

5. POS2009 is scheduled for August 2009 release for sale.

HTH
