Have downlioaded this from MSDN (Certified Partner), printed manuals etc but
cannot find anything on system requirements. Will POS 2009 install and work
from a Windows 2008 Server? Will it use either SQL 2005 or SQL 2008 and is
there a document outlining how to install it that way. We have a retail store
which already has a SQL server installed and want to add POS 2009 to that and
then equip the 2 lanes with the 'client side'.

Guidance would be appreciated to help with our planning.

Hi Jeff

We are aware of the non production usage. We have a very large project
coming up which will involve about 20+ Retail shops and we want to learn the
product before installing etc.

The reason we asked the questions was POS V2 did not support server - which
did cause us some problems.

Thanks for the info anyway. We can now at least get the application
installed the way we want to.

Jeff,

Thanks a bunch for this link. I had been looking for information for a
while and somehow completely missed this. This is a great resource and I'm
downloading it now for testing/learning purposes.
