 Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice on how to send data to a POS Printer using
POS for .NET .

I'm using the POS Simulator as I don't have any hardware but none of the
ESC| sequences for text manipulation seem to be working. I can get the line
feeds ESC|#lF to work but not for example setting the text to be right
aligned.

Is this a problem with the MS POS Simulator?

I'm guessing this may also be because the simulator doesn't seem to have a
width set for the POS Printer. How do I set this in the simulator?

 I think it's the POS simulator issue, it works fine on my physical device, I
am using v1.12

Hi Kaibin,

Thank you very much for this response as without any hardware I am unable to
isolate a problem let alone where to look.

Yes - It does seem to be a simulator issue as I went forward and created my
project and the ESC sequences are in fact being processed (or at least
ignored by the simulator which in fact amounts to the same thing).

The POS Simulator does not show centered text, underline or other format
type ESC squences however after some thought, this is probably the "correct"
action on it's part. Took me some time to remember that the print output and
screen output are two different items and what I was expecting to see on
screen was in fact a "print preview" window. That is probably outside the
scope of the simulator.

For the record - there is no documentation that I can find that refers to
the simulator software - its use, limitations etc. Even a brief reminder to
the above woud have saved me many hours of grief!

Neverheless, without the simulator software I couldn't even get this far!

Your response may be short (but to the point) and really has helped me
enourmously - thank you again.
