Please log in for more thread options Have you looked into NewWest's Mobile Suite? It runs on the Symbol Pocket
PC and is integrated into RMS. Only 1 licience is needed for howevery many
devices you have.

>>>I would like a program that will work on PocketPC 2003 (Symbol MC50) that
>>>will basically do the following:
>>>
>>> Creates a simple CSV file from items scanned in through a PocketPC.
>>>
>>> 1.. The CSV file will only have three fields per line: SKU (scanned
>>> in), Quantity (needs to default to 1 will never be more than 99), and a
>>> date & time stamp (system date and time)
>>> 2.. Have a spreadsheet/grid style screen with 2 columns so we can see
>>> previous scanned items and their quantities (in case the operator gets
>>> distracted or needs to take a break and can "see" where (s)he left off).
>>> 3.. If multiple of the same items (SKUs) are scanned consecutively they
>>> can be grouped (tallied) together, but NOT if they are not scanned
>>> consecutively.
>>> 4.. Most of the time we will just scan then scan the next item without
>>> entering a quantity or any other key for that matter, but sometimes we
>>> need to manually enter the quantity (if there are a bunch of the same
>>> SKUs in a row or box)
>>> 5.. When we start a new scan file we would like to have it ask us for a
>>> file name (nice but not required).
>>> The reason for requirements #4 is to make it possible to do an audit on
>>> the scanned in items. This way we can follow the original scanning
>>> path/trail and verify the items and quantities from the original scan.
>>>
>>> Does anybody know of a program available to accomplish the above? If not
>>> I would like to see if anybody is interested in developing this (simple)
>>> program and how much it would cost to create it and when could it be
>>> completed?
>>>
>>> Before anybody suggests the following:
>>>
>>> Pocket Excel: This is essentially what I need, but the only problem is
>>> that it's to easy for people to "end up" in the wrong cell and start
>>> scanning in ILCs in the quantity field or visa versa and we would have
>>> to set the default quantity and time fields/columns.
>>>
>>> New West's Mobile Inventory Count: This is the almost perfect example
>>> for the program that I need EXCEPT this product groups/tallies the same
>>> ILCs together, which makes it impossible to properly audit the scanned
>>> batches. In other words if I scan 1000 ILCs but there are only 200
>>> different ILC I DO NOT want to see a list/CSV file with only 200 ILCs in
>>> it with total quantities for each ILC (RMS Physical Inventory does this
>>> for me already anyway!).
>>>
>>> Anybody?
