Point of sale installation problem

Hello,
I need to do the Point of sale exam and I downloaded the program from MSDN.
During installation it doesn't ask for a validation.
When you start the POS you get an activation wizard, but all the controls on
the screen are not shown. So the entire page is empty.
When you start the POS manager then you get an empty page with the title
Store wizard. It is not as shown in the eLearning movie.

I tried it on at least 5 different pc's with different operating systems.

Can anyone help me please ...
