We do a lot of sales on account. Often times there are promotions where the
item (e.g. Dog Food) is given a quantity discount. Buy 15 bags of dog food,
get the 16th free. I know RMS is setup to do this discount if all 15 bags
are bought on one trasaction, but who would buy 750 pounds of dog food at one
time. Is there a way for the system to take care of this discount using the
customers purchase history?

Thanks

Michael,

You need some kind of loyalty add-on.

Look at the following and see if they match what you need;

Hi Michael,
Sounds like we might have the same kind of busines and problem, did you
resolve this issue? I'm just getting started on RMS and still writing the
customers bag purchases in a book. I'd be interested to know if you found a
better solution.

Me too. I'm looking for a way to automatically apply discounts so I don't
have to rely on bone-headed employees.

example,

Someone buys 11 bottles of wine - no discount -if they add a 12th bottle it
gives them a 10% case discount.

There are discout modules that can handle this for you. There are also
specific Wine addons that you may be interested in as well.
Try:
www.wineclubmanager.com
and
www.evtretail.com
