I need to have a ticket print to a kitchen grill printer when a particular
item or group of items (Department, Category) are processed through RMS. A
normal reciept to the customer and a food item to the kitchen printer. Any
ideas??

Set up a second printer and enable it under Register Properties in Manager.
Set it to prompt the cashier to print a receipt on that printer - not to
print automatically.

Sounds like you'll need a plug-in....ie, three items on a receipt but just
the second one is a "food item" and you want that second item to print on the
kitchen receipt....I don't believe RMS can handle this out of the box (using
receipt printer 2 will have all three items print on the kitchen receipt) -
then again, if you don't mind that non-food items print in the kitchen
receipt, then this will work for you.

The second printer with a prompt to second printer is the best we can do at
this time. The reciept is not exactly formatted correctly either, but we are
trying a few different things. They don't mind the non-food items, but it
would be nice to excluse these. I formatted a kitchen reciept, but I'm trying
not to incluse $ info. Getting cliose....

Thnak you for the input.
