Is there any way to print a barcode on a label taking the information from an
alias in RMS?

You shouldn't have to because what ever the barcode is created from either
the ILC or the Alias it will bring up the same item.
i.e.
ItemLookupCode = ITEMA and its Alias = 012345132450
If you create a barcode for either the Alias of the ILC it will bring up
ITEMA at the POS.

But if you really have to you could try contact Rick Feuling at Rite
http://www.rite.us
I don't know if his addon does this but I may be worth a try.

I believe RMS uses the ILC for the barcode because you could have many
different upcs in the Alias field and the program wouldn't know which Alias
you want to print the label for.

I'm guessing the problem you have is that if you change the ILC after
printing the barcode, the barcode label you printed for the the item that has
the UPC in the Alias field will no longer be recognized? If this doesn't
happen too often, you could temporarily make the ILC the UPC you want to put
in the alias field, then print the labels, then change the ILC back to the
original number, then put the upc in the Alias field. Kind of a pain, but it
should work.
