Is that really MICROS, or Microsoft?
If you are talking about Microsoft POS, you must install the Epson OPOS
drivers with the "Common Control Objects" - not the "Epson Control Object".
If you aren't sure which you installed, uninstall the Epson OPOS and
reinstall.
I'm not sure I'm exactly following what you are doing, but it sounds like
you are trying to test the printer within the EPSON OPOS utility. You
should always be able to get a good test here - common control objects or
not... Make sure that you have NOT installed the Epson Windows driver as it
will interfere with OPOS. Also make sure that no Windows printers are
configured to use the same port as the tm-t88 - even if they are not
physically connected to the computer. For example, MS Office will create a
virtual printer called something like "MS Office Document writer" that
thinks it uses either COM1 or LPT1. If you have one of these virtual
printers setup to use the port that the receipt printer is using, OPOS will
have problems.
If the above items don't resolve the problem, check the printer firmware for
OPOS version compatibility - you can find instructions at
http://pos.epson.com - sorry, I don't have the exact link...
