Greetings all.

I've searched the newsgroups and the KB to see if this has been addressed
before and I can't find anything. If any of you have any ideas, it would be
much appreciated.

We've just implemented (converting from older POS system) and we're trying
to add kit items. The problem is that we need to enter serialized items into
the kits, and this isn't possible. We are bundling together a game console
with the power cords and controllers, etc. We can use assembly items I
suppose, but those don't have the information we need (ability to assign to
departments, attributes, etc.). Kit items are the way to go, but we need to
add serialized stuff into it...any ideas?

I imagine the same would be true for a lot of technology retailers, so I'm
surprised the software doesn't allow this. Cell phone stores for instance
would need to add a kit of cell phone, car charger, and case (as an example).
Most cell phones would be serialized I'm betting. I guess if there are no
good solutions, this is a definite product suggestion I would have for
Microsoft's future releases...

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I do not know if this would work in your situation, but have you tried to
create a kit without the serialized item and then tagalong this kit to the
serialized item?
