Ok, I've been doing some research and the primary players with proven
software that works are actually Kosmos Central and Nitrosell. Store
Front from what I'm hearing and talking to past storefront users is
pure junk so, it's basically between Kosmos and Nitrosell. Does
anyone have a back to back comparison of both providers?

1) Kosmos Non Hosted. You own the source code to the shopping cart
and can modify the functionality and design 100%.
2) Nitrosell Hosted. No chance of breaking the code, since you can't
modify it at all.

-------------------------------------------
Both use Mercury Payment Systems and will integrate for FREE.

Does anyone have a more complete list?

1) What are the hosting cost comparisons?
2) What are the time frames for implementation? How easy or hard is
it?
3) Support costs?
4) License Fees?
5) Custom design? Show me examples and cost estimates?

I have some costs already, but would like some help on this.

Hi Jess, you really are not comparing apples to apples. Even though
these are two proven solutions they both are very different too. Like
you stated one is hosted and you can't touch the code and the other
isn't. We feel there's a lot more flexibility with our code since you
can modify the design to look like any site out there and you can
implement any new code into the cart. If you currently have a
designer or design that you have already paid for Kosmos can integrate
that design into the shopping cart for you too. You can also host on
your own dedicated servers as long as it's configured properly to run
our software. If you decide to host on your own servers and purchase
the stand alone software there are no monthly or annual license fees
either. The only fees at that point you'll incur is if you decide to
upgrade to a newer version of RMS and then you'll have to pay the $300
to upgrade your Web Service by Kosmos etc., along with the upgrade fee
for the Web Integrator that sits on your RMS. Since you have your
own webmaster control panel your developers can easily do all the
development on the shopping cart too. We also have a new product
called DISPATCHER that we're beta testing with three clients currently
that allows for even greater flexibility, and is more of enterprise
level software that will allow customers to connect to different carts
and web services. If you decided to host with us and wanted
maintenance and support of your website the plans vary depending on
your service level agreement.
