 I set up a receipt printing template using the default GUI in the software
and would like to know how to further customize the layout. Do I need to
edit the XML file?

The problem that I am having is that the output from the printer is not
utilizing the full width of the paper. Only 7 or 8 characters are printing
for each one of the columsn (Items, Description, Price). I would like to be
able to expand on the item description that is being printed on the receipt.

Any assistance or replys are appreciated.

Start by checking the paper width in the receipt format. SO Manager |
Database | Registers | Receipt Formats | 40 Column | Properties | Properties
| Paper Width and/or Margins
